2025 Showing Season
Before the showing season officially starts, we've been out with Fergie to build up her independence and confidence.
First show of 2025, saw us return to Golden Valley Equestrian Centre for their first in-hand show of the year.
Fergie placed four in a mixed youngstock class and placing the highest non welsh pony.
The next show for her will be the NPS Area 13 Spring Show on the 1st March 2025.
Highland Pony Society Performance Awards
February saw the announcement of the 2024 HPS Performance Awards.
Exception results for Eider, taking the highest awards of the season and being awarded his first HPS Bronze Medal.

NPS Area 13 Spring Show
NPS Area 13 Spring Show was the first NPS show for Fergie and saw us return to the Onley Equestrian Centre
- 2nd Place - NPS M&M Large Breed Youngstock
- 2nd Place - NPS Home Produced Large Breed
Overall an excellent day and plenty of experience for Fergie, including competing in three championship classes!
Golden Valley Show
On the 9th February we returned back to our local show at Golden Valley Equestrian Centre for some more training for Fergie.
Fergie performed really well and placed 2nd in the Youngstock class. Proud moment as she behaved perfectly and was the only yearling in the ring. Holding her place amongst more mature ponies.


Meet Monty!
Thursday 13th March saw the arrival of Manor Born Monarch (aka Monty)
Barnfields Trinity Mae (Trinity) and Perburn Eider Embrace (Eider)
A very exciting day at the Manor Born stud as we welcomed Eider's first foal into the world.
Very excited to see what the future holds for this fantastic colt foal. Hopefully the first of a long line of stunning foals from Eider.
HPEC Spring Show 2025
Start of the 20225 show season for Eider and the first Highland classes of 2025 for Fergie!
Fantastic day for Manor Born Queen's Legacy (Fergie) who took 2nd in the Highland Pony Youngstock Yearling class, along with a 1st place in the NPS In-Hand Large Breed Youngstock class.
An amazing day for Perburn Eider Embrace (Eider) who started for the first time of the season in the Adult classes!

We're very excited to see what the rest of the show season brings!
Our next show is the NPS Spring Festival where Eider and Fergie will both be competing. Eider will also make an apperance in the Stallion Parade, which showcases the different pony breeds.


National Pony Society Stallion Parade
Stallion Parade of Native and M&M Breeds
At the National Pony Society Spring Festival, which is to be held on Saturday 26th April at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern.
Eider will be representing the Highland Pony Breed for the second time within the NPS Stallion Parade.
It's an excellent opportunity, not only to promote the amazing breed but also showcase Eider to those who may want to use him for Stud either this year or in the future.
The parade starts at 13:00 and there will be commentary throughout.

Royal Cheshire Show
Tuesday 17th June saw Perburn Eider Embrace making his first appearance at the Royal Cheshire show.
Eider performed well in a very strong class of adult stallions and was awarded 4th place along with excellent comments from the judge.




Royal Highland Show 2025
Highland Pony In-hand classes
Thursday 19th June, saw the return of the Manor Born Highland stud to the famous Royal Highland Show for a second time. This time is was extra special as two home-bred Manor Born highland ponies were presented to the judges.
Perburn Eider Embrace was awarded 5th place in a very strong adult class of mature stallions
Manor Born Future King (George) did us proud, not only by taking everything into his stride but also for taking 2nd place in the Yearling Colt class.
Manor Born Queen's Legacy (Fergie) kept a clear head and performed well. Placing 4th in the Yearling Filly class.
Following on from the success in the in-hand classes, both Eider and Fergie took part in the Stock Judging competition on Friday 20th June.
Royal Highland Show
Grand Parade 2025
Saturday 21st June, Manor Born Future King (George) took part in his first very Royal Highland Show Grand Parade. Presented on behalf of his owner, Cara Backhouse.
Sunday 22nd June, it was Perburn Eider Embrace's turn to represent the Highland Pony breed and also the Manor Born highland stud in the Grand Parade.



Great Yorkshire Show
Our first time showing at the Great Yorkshire Show
Perburn Eider Embrace was awarded a 5th place in a strong Adult Stallion class.
Holding his own amongst older and more established stallions.
Highland Pony Society Breed Show
Held at Strathallan Castle
Sunday 13th July saw us return to Strathallan Castle, the home of Tilly (Strathallan Aurora)
Perburn Eider Embrace was awarded a 4th place in the Adult Stallion class.
Manor Born Queen's Legacy had an exceptional day and was the winner of the Yearling Filly class. Resulting in her being awarded with her first ever trophy, the Alltnacaailleach Trophy. She has also secured her place in the Highland Pony Society Youngstock Championship which will take place in September 2025.
Overall an fantastic breed show for the Manor Born stud and another successful trip to Scotland, the native home of the Highland Pony breed.
